There have been numerous attempts trying to identify the identity of the Bitcoin creator, however, most were unsuccessful. However, an interesting investigation is now slowly gaining the media attention.
Based on the latest reports, it seems like Satoshi Nakamoto, might actually by an Australian businessman who is based in Sydney, Craig Steven Wright, alongside with Dave Kleiman, who is an American computer forensics expert that unfortunately died back in 2013. Wired recently stated that the two men might have been involved in the creation of the cryptocurrency, and linked some evidence including a couple of interviews. Together with this, Gizmodo also received some emails, coming from a tipster hacker who stated that he managed to hack into the accounts of a few people associated with the two men.
Things tend to link due to the fact that last year, Wright announced his plan to establish what would be the world’s first Bitcoin bank. Alongside with this, it also seems that a while back, Wright tried to spend around $85 million worth of bitcoin to buy gold, and invest into some businesses.
People tend to ask themselves why the creator of Bitcoin is not willing to share his face to the world. Well, there are a couple of reasons why this would make sense. Firstly, the bitcoin boom has been enormous, and if Satoshi revealed himself to the world, then chances are that he would be lauded as one of the greatest minds in the history of computer science, but also be a target of global scrutiny, as there are still tons of people who do not completely agree with the idea behind the digital currency.
The hacker who publicized the emails also went ahead and published a couple of PDF of what looks like transcripts coming from a meeting between Wright and his attorney. In it, Wright reportedly stated the following: ‘I did my best to try and hide the fact that I’ve been running bitcoin since 2009, but I think it’s getting – most – most – by the end of this, I think half the world is going to bloody know.’
To thousands of avid Bitcoin fans from all around the world, finding the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto would represent a true pleasure, so many tend to believe that these reports are true from all the points of view. At this moment in time, we’re excited to see what Wright himself has to say about these allegations.
It’s also worth pointing out that there is another theory stating that Bitcoin has been created by a group of political and economic elites, who wanted to find a different way of controlling the world’s financial system.
